The EA211 1.4T engine offers sufficient power for daily use, though there's some jerking when shifting between 1st-2nd and 3rd-2nd gears in the city. Fuel consumption is acceptable: 6-7 L/100km on highways (mostly driven at around 100 km/h during break-in) and 8-9 L/100km in the city. There are minor issues: water leakage from the engine compartment's water channel, occasional front resonance noise below 40 km/h, average storage space design, and the panoramic camera has poor image quality and closes automatically at 15 km/h. I hope future improvements include real roof racks, adjustable rear seat angles, and a more practical trunk cover. Overall, it's a good car for the money.

My wife wanted an SUV, so I chose the Jetta VS7 for its availability, AT transmission, and spaciousness. After test-driving CS75 Plus, GS4 Plus, and ix35, I picked the VS7. It has a long rear row, sufficient space for passengers and cargo, and the trunk can be flattened. The 1.4T engine with AT transmission offers enough power for daily use, averaging 8.1L/100km over 1,000 km. The steering is light with small return damping, and there's little body roll when cornering. The interior is full of plastic but has little odor; the sunroof sunshade is poor. Overall, it's a good SUV for this price range.

I'm an old owner of Jetta VS7. I recently tried the 24款 Jetta VS7 and compared it with my old model. The 24款 has a new grille design with a seamless look and body-colored side cladding, making it appear more robust, though I still prefer my old model's appearance. Its interior, featuring brown-black two-tone with soft-touch materials and suede accents, is far better than my old hard-plastic one, like a well-decorated apartment versus a bare one. In terms of configuration, it has a digital instrument cluster, improved voice navigation, voice command training, rhythmic ambient lights, and reminders for unclosed doors/hood and keyless entry for the front passenger, which are excellent. The space is spacious with a 2.7-meter wheelbase, though the rear middle hump is a minor drawback. The driving feel is familiar with the same 1.4T engine, but the shifting is more agile, and noise is reduced. Fuel consumption is around 7.8 in the city. However, I wish there were more engine options like 1.8T or 2.0T. Overall, the 24款 Jetta VS7 is better in all aspects except for no power upgrade and no electric version, which is a pity given the popularity of electric cars now.
